A Disturbing Dream

I had an incredibly strange dream last night, and then the Lord woke me up and started to talk to me. My husband and I were in a movie theater, but not just any movie was playing. A pornographic flick was on, but the most disgusting part was that the audience in the theater were participating in every known perversion and orgy known to man. Everything was right out in the open, without any pretense in hiding it.

If that wasn't disgusting enough, My husband and I were participating too! I woke up so nauseated I literally could taste the bile rising in my throat. I cannot describe how shamed, disgusted, and dirty I felt. The Spirit of the Lord then began to speak to me. He told me that perversion and immorality were going to increase over the face of the earth to the point that public orgies and perverse displays would be common place. He wanted me to know how nauseated He was with this, and literally wanted to spew them out of His mouth. He said that His children were called to be a metronome. You know that little box used by musicians that keep perfect time. Anyway, we were to be like that giving the world a model to look at, never missing a beat for righteousness. He then told me that we would be despised and hated for showing up their sinfulness. They would persecute and even martyr us because their sin darkened hearts could not stand to be laid bare and shown lacking.

He also told me that there is so much hidden sin in His body - that we were walled off from one another fearful to be real and vulnerable. We really didn't know what is was to be united in love - protected and accepted in spite of our past, therefore, we truly can't comprehend what it means to submit to one another. Because we cannot stand or survive in the days to come without the fellowship of the saints, He said that His children would be given a new level of discernment and words of knowledge to uncover this filth. It would be done in a new spirit of compassion and kindness - a true spirit of love for the one in bondage. The weaker one would be restored gently because those that were given the duty and charge of uncovering the sin know it could have very well been themselves caught in its ugly web. There would no longer be tiers of differentiation in the body, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
