Entrapment

The Dream: President Clinton was either walking to his house or driving in a new 1999 green Ford Explorer (a large sport-utility vehicle - currently all the rage in the U.S.A.) and entering his driveway. I was talking and raising my voice to him and then the people in his neighborhood, or perhaps both at the same time. I was saying, "Just as portrayed in the latest movie 'ENTRAPMENT' so are You and the American People about to be ENTRAPPED in God's Judgment. I was saying that the verse in the Book of Ecclesiastes best describes what God is about to bring to pass. Ecclesiastes Chapter 9 verse 12 says, "Moreover, no man knows when his hour will come; like fish caught in a net, like a bird taken in a snare, SO MEN ARE TRAPPED WHEN BAD TIMES COME SUDDENLY". I then said, "A nuclear destruction is coming on this nation and it could come as soon as this year, 1999!" As I was speaking I saw a Nike missile being raised into launch position between two closely built homes in this suburban neighborhood setting.

The Interpretation: The president is of course, symbolic of the entire country since he is voted into office and not a dictator. Therefore this message of judgment is to the whole country. God is holding the entire nation accountable for its behavior, of which President Clinton is only a reflection of the current state of the American Peoples. The 1999 Green Ford Explorer stands for the current mindset of the country which is elated over the national economy (the deceitfulness or delight in riches can also choke the promise of revival or God's Word for revival to the U.S.), somewhat reflected by the current stock market surge. I was raising my voice because of the urgency of the message God has given me to preach and my responsibility to tell the American People how things really are as opposed to how they think things are. The setting was in a suburban neighborhood, since the American Church has basically rejected this message in favor of a message of Revival, coupled with a much-toned down message of Judgments. I am taking the message to the streets.

Americans almost worship at the movie houses of America waiting in eager anticipation for the latest Hollywood Hits, i.e. the recent Star Wars hype. Since this is where America finds her heroes isn't it appropriate God would use the title of a recent Sean Connery thriller to speak of His coming Judgment upon America. That fact that in the last part of the dream I was preaching about a Nuclear War coming to America and then the Nike missile being raised on its launch pad speaks of the kind of judgment God intends to bring on America suddenly even as fish are trapped suddenly in a net.

This is not a message of earthquakes or floods or storms or a stock market/economic crash but the threat of war, and not just the threat of any kind of war, but a nuclear war that will devastate this country. A war where God is not on our side but against us and on the side of the enemies He chooses to surround us. He has done this before with Israel and He can certainly do it again. If you want a clearer picture of the kind of devastation God intends to bring on America read the book of Lamentations and try to imagine these scenes of horror in a modern day setting.

Alas, there is some hope in this dream since I am saying it COULD come in 1999 and not that it WOULD come in 1999. His hand is stretched out still that, His Church, His People might actually do what He is requiring of them as stated in 2 Chronicles 7:14 and it would manifest itself in a church and nation that bears righteous, not vile fruit or worthless fruit.
