Ted's Dream

The following was a message my good friend Ted B. told me one night while we were sitting at the waffle house. I think it has a message for us all. It really ministered to me.

Sometime during the night last night I began to dream. I dreamed that I was trying to get home from work and that it was snowing hard. The snow was about waist deep. It had snowed for many hours and the snow was so deep that my car wouldn't go in it. I had to get out and walk. It was bitter cold and the snow was up to my waist, cold and wet, I thought I was going to freeze to death.

It was extremely hard to walk in the deep snow. It seemed as if I had been walking for hours. I was so tired and cold I felt I was going to drop. The snow being so deep every step was an extreme effort to make and I was almost totally exhausted. I had walked for miles forging straight ahead in the storm using every ounce of my strength, just trying to make it home.

I suddenly realized that I was exhausted and was so cold I was about to freeze to death. I thought I was going to die. I was about to collapse, just lie down in the snow and die. I had come to the end of what I could do. I cried out,' lord help me'! Immediately I heard the voice of God speak to my spirit. God said, ' look behind you '. I turned around and looked behind me. There had been a snowplow following me all the time clearing the road of the waist deep snow. I let the snow plow get in front of me clearing the road ahead. Now the road was clear and the walking was easy. My path was clear; no more struggling to push through the waist deep snow. I was going to live and make it home.

God showed me that my walk with him was much the same as this dream. When we get ahead of God and are trying to make our own way, or clear our own path in life the going is strenuous, like trying to walk through waist deep snow. If we will slow down and wait upon the lord, or 'get behind the snow plow' God will clear the path in front of us. Nothing will stand in our path. God will clear the way like that snowplow in my dream. No mountain will be able to stand in our way if we ' follow.' the lord, that is let him lead us instead of getting ahead of him and trying to do things 'my way'.

They that wait upon the lord shall rise up on wings like an eagle. They shall soar above any storm in their lives. They shall run and not grow weary. They shall speak to the mountain in their lives and it shall be moved. No weapon formed against them shall prosper. They that wait upon the lord. God will direct their paths. Wait upon the lord. He loves you and he will give your life direction if you will let him.

Aren't you tired of trying to struggle through life alone without him, without any hope that life will ever get any better? . Aren't you weary from having to fight life's battles by yourself? Trust in the one who loves you. Trust in God. God will never leave you or forsake you. Trust in him today. Let him direct your paths.

God says in his word, 'for I have loved you with an everlasting love, and I have drawn you, with my loving kindness. Nothing, no mountain, no weapon, no sickness or disease, not even loneliness, or the devil himself can stop our God from blessing us and clearing the path ahead of us in our life. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all things, that is, everything that you need in this life that God wants to bless you with; because he loves you, will be, not might be, but will be, added unto you. Trust God today - He loves you.
